Menu creation and management is done from the Menu section of Community Manager. This can be navigated to by going to Admin Menu | Design and Layout | Menu. The menu list shows the existing menus in the website. These may be edited, copied or deleted. New menus may also be created from this page. The Menu Design page allows the management of each individual menu. See below:
- On this page the following items may be configured:
- Menu Type: Flyout menu, panelbar, accessible etc
- Menu Position: Is this a top, left or bottom menu.
- Active: enabled or disabled
- Default Menu: Indicates if this is the default menu for the site
- Description: describe this menu if there are multiple menus as it will be easier to identify.
- Maximum level: How many folder levels beneath the parent menu item do you want to show on the menu.
- Dimensions: Allows configuration of overall menu size
- Borders: Allows configuration of outside border of the entire menu
- Images: Can choose background, separator, submenu images
- Flyout Attributes: Allows configuration of flyout menu specific attributes
- Panelbar Attributes: Allows configuration of panelbar menu specific attributes
- Above/below menu settings: Select an article to display above or below a menu.
- Level 1,2,3and 4 settings: Configure fonts, images, mouse overs, size, borders and effects for each level of the menu
- Menu Items: Choose which folders, site elements or own elements to show on the menu as well as the order of the items and position of seperators.
