From the admin menu, navigate to Events | Venues. This will first show a list of venues that may have been configured in your website already. To edit an existing venue, select the radio button to the left of the venue name and click edit. To add a new venue, click the “add” button. This will show the following page:
- Populate the Venue Name, Address, Suburb/Town, Country and State fields.
- The “Maximum Number of Attendees” field should indicate the number of seats available at the venue or similar. If it is unlimited, enter 99999.
- If you would like to have a waiting list for the venue should the event become booked out, enter the size of the waiting list in the “Number of Waiting Places” field.
- The ‘Area’ field us used to group venues together for searching. For example, Opera House, Circular Quay and ANA hotel could be grouped together in an area called Sydney Metropolitan.
