Set as Template
Community Manager allows you to use a template as a starting point for new articles created. It is possible to select a default template for each folder. This means that when a new article is created in the folder, it will now be a two step process rather than a three step process to create a new article. |

You will now only need to complete the article attributes page and then you will be presented with a copy of the default template for the folder to begin creating your new article. Using templates is a good idea as it helps to keep your web site look and feel consistent as well as speeding up content creation time.
- To configure a default template for a folder you will need to edit the folder attributes and expand the ‘display settings’ section. Select the required template from the ‘Default Template’ dropdown.
- If a default template has not been configured for the folder you are creating a new article in, you will be presented with the ‘Define Article Layout’ page as part of the aticle creation process.
To use a template when you are creating an article, after entering the articles’ attributes and clicking on save you will be taken to the Define Article Layout page. This page allows you to choose a template to base the article on or select a one, two or three column layout with no template as a starting point for the new article. Saving this takes the user to the content screen.
If the existing page layout is to be modified, while on the article content editing screen, there is a ‘Change Page Layout’ link on the bottom right of the screen. Clicking on this will allow you to redefine the pages layout.
