Lists

The system allows the user to create an unlimited number of discreet customer lists each with their own set or permissions and attributes.

Required Attributes

Each list has 4 basic properties which are required.

  • List Name
  • Brief Description [This can optionally be presented on the subscribe page]
  • Senders Email [The address that the email should come from]
  • Email Subject [The subject field of the email]

Bouncebacks

The email bounceback service captures all system and user generated replies to central mail box. The reporting engine parses the mailbox and present reporting information and the ability to edit the subscriber record.

The attributes required to setup the bounceback service are...

  • Bounceback Email Address e.g donotreply@elcom.com.au
  • Bounceback Email Password
  • Report Bounceback

Configurable Text

The configurable text attribute provides an option to set default text (HTML allowed) at the start or end of the email content. The content can also contain personalised tags for First Name, Last Name, Unsubscribe, Month and Year.

Typically this option is used to set a link to the online version if the content cannot be viewed as well as unsubscribe links. This information can also be set in the actual newsletter content if preferred

Display Grouping

The display grouping attribute is used to associate the mailing list with a particular group on the subscribtion page. e.g If this list belongs to the Handheld Camera category it can be listed under that category and the order specified.

Restrict Editing

The restrict editing attribute enables mailing list administration lockdown by security group. e.g in an enterprise setting a mailing list administrator may wish to restrict who can access to their customer lists and send emails.

The restrict joining attribute enables mailing list subscription lockdown by security group. e.g in an enterprise setting a mailing list administrator may wish to restrict who can join their mailing list.
